This page explains how to delete your Wellody account and the data in it. If you can use the app, deleting from the app is the fastest way.
1. Delete directly in the app
- Open the Wellody app and sign in.
- Go to More › Export or delete my logs. Before deleting, you can download your logs with “Create export file”.
- Tap Delete account, then tap Delete in the confirmation dialog.
Access is blocked immediately and everything listed under “What is deleted” below is deleted right away. This cannot be undone.
2. If you can’t use the app — request by email
If you lost your phone or removed the app, you can request deletion by email.
- Send to: 〔Business decision: contact email — BD-32〕
- Subject: Wellody account deletion request
- Include: the sign-in method you used to join (email, Kakao, Google or Apple) and, for email sign-in, that email address
- Identity check: the company sends a confirmation email to the registered address, or confirms your identity through your sign-in method, before deleting. Do not include health log content, passphrases or recovery codes. The company will never ask for them.
- Processing time: 〔Business decision: processing deadline — within the statutory 10 days recommended, BD-31〕
3. What is deleted
- Sign-in account: email address and Kakao, Google or Apple sign-in links
- Profiles and all health logs (symptoms, meds, measurements, meals, sleep, visit records, lab results, notes, etc.)
- Original files you uploaded, such as photos and PDFs
- Visit summaries and share links (links stop opening after deletion), family viewing permissions, invitations and notifications
- Conversations with Lody (AI helper), consent records, settings and support inquiries
- External AI usage records, hashes used for rate limiting, and invite code and share link attempt records
- Copies stored on this device and your log lock key (when deleted from the app)
4. What remains, and for how long
- Deletion ledger: only the deleted account’s identifier and the time are kept (no log content). This is so that deleted data can be deleted again if a backup is restored. Retention period 〔Business decision — BD-05, BD-31〕.
- Backup copies: removed according to the backup cycle. 〔Business decision: backup cycle and retention — BD-05, BD-31〕
- Access history held by others: records of you viewing logs that another user shared with you belong to that person’s access history, so they remain on their side.
- Files already exported: files and PDFs you downloaded or sent to others cannot be deleted by the company.
- Retention required by law: information that laws require us to keep is stored separately for that period. 〔Business decision: when paid services are introduced — BD-02, BD-09〕
5. Keep the account and delete only some data
- A single log: delete it from that log’s screen
- Withdraw optional consent: Settings › Manage consent
- Turn off external AI: Settings › AI & privacy › Turn off external AI
- Logs imported from health apps: choose “Also delete imported logs” when disconnecting the health app
